TWA Alumni: Where Are They Now?
Many of our dancers are leading interesting lives in the big world out there! Some of them have continued their involvement with tap or other dance forms; some are pursuing different goals and dreams. Check back every now and then, as we’ll be adding new profiles of TWA alums to this page, to catch you up on their news.
Alison Friedman

Lucia Henderson
While at Harvard, Lulu split her time between dancing and archaeology. She is now working on her Ph.D. in Art History at the University of Texas at Austin as a Harrington Doctoral Fellow, specializing in the Precolumbian Mesoamerican world. Read more about Lulu Henderson.
Jason Holley
One of TWA's youngest dancers ever was DC's Jason Holley. Jason began tap with Ms Yvonne at age 5, and joined TWA as a 6 year old. He appeared in Debbie Allen's, "Brothers of the Knight," at the Kennedy Center, and at age 15, he moved to Los Angeles to study at Debbie Allen Dance Academy. Kindra J. Ingram, DC
Kindra started tapping when she was 3 and has been at it ever since. She joined TWA in 1992 and at age 15 became one of Knock On Wood’s youngest instructors. After college, she went on to study chiropractic medicine and has since opened her own practice in downtown Silver Spring. Kindra has continued her association with Knock On Wood, both as a teacher and by providing a tap scholarship for a KOW student. LeeAnet Noble
TWA graduate LeeAnet Noble set out to pursue her dreams of becoming a performer, with much success. She is a multi-talented actor, dancer and drummer whose unique style of mixing tap dancing and masterful drumming has won her critical acclaim. Read more about LeeAnet Noble.
Baakari Wilder
Baakari Wilder has had an amazing career, for one so young. A native of Maryland, he was the original dance captain of Tappers With Attitude and went on to become Savion Glover's replacement in the Broadway production of "Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk." Read more about Baakari Wilder.
Rita Wilson
Rita Wilson started dancing over 20 years ago, and since that time has earned two college degrees and is working on a third. She has used her educational background to develop a nonprofit organization that aids in offering dance scholarships around Washington, DC, and she has also formed a small tap company that rehearses in her home studio.
