About Knock On Wood Tap Studio
Since opening in 1994, Knock On Wood Tap Studio has continued to redefine conventional tap dance, serving a diverse student body and offering classes for all levels and age groups in Silver Spring, Maryland. The studio is comprised of three tap studios, with state-of-the-art sprung maple floors. It remains one of only a few facilities of its kind in the United States. The premiere tap company, Tappers With Attitude Youth Ensemble, makes its home at Knock On Wood.
About Knock On Wood Classes
TAP is back! Tap dance is fun and gratifying - and great exercise! - for people of all ages and skill levels. We specialize in rhythm tap, a form of percussive dance that gives you the skills to make music with your feet. Drawing from a number of musical genres including jazz, blues, and swing, our classes help students develop skills in technique, basic steps, and combinations. Classes are available for children (from age 3), teens, and adults. It's never too late to start!
