Introductory Adult/Teen Class for Absolute Beginners
Ever wanted to learn to flap? Shuffle ball-change? What about channel your inner Fred Astaire? Come try our Intro to Tap class at our studio! The 7-week sessions are $140 and the 8-week session is $160. Full enrollment is encouraged, but class card and drop-in students are also welcome.
Parent-Child Classes (ages 2-6 years)
Why do the kids get to have all the fun by themselves? Learn to tap dance WITH your child! These unique classes are offered by Gigi Buscaglio on Saturdays at noon. The 7-class price for one parent and one child is $174. For additional siblings, the charge is $9/class more. Register early, as this class fills up!
Flatfooting from Scratch
Dig into the Appalachian percussive dance style of flatfooting done to live stringband music. This class will empower you to get you up on the dance floor at a square dance or your local old-time jam. We will work on the clogging fundamentals, flatfooting basics, Robert Dotson’s Tennessee Walking Step, Thomas Maupin's step, and many others. No prior experience necessary. Come ready to dance in either leather bottoms or smooth soled shoes.
Flatfooting - Intermediate/Advanced
Have you taken flatfooting workshops at festivals and are looking to level up your footwork? In this session we will engage in flatfooting drills that build technical facility and expand musicality, explore improvisation, try on choreography, and much more! Prior knowledge of percussive dance required. Come ready to dance in either leather bottoms or smooth soled shoes.
